Democrat Rich Carmona came out swinging and kept Republican Jeff Flake on the defensive throughout a lot of last night’s televised forum in the race to replace the retiring Sen. Jon Kyl. The candidates talked about health care, immigration and those recent TV ads that Flake has been airing about Carmona’s alleged temperament problems.

Getting hassled by The Man Mild-mannered reporter

  1. Having watched the debate, Flake kept referring to Kyl and McCain, even saying he voted like they did. Both of these Senators have done NOTHING for the state or the people. Kyl was Bushes backboy when Bush was President. He voted for all the huge debt Bush created, 2 wars, passed bills that had no funding. Kyl was the worst and really stood for nothing. Bush wanted to resolve the immigration issue and his party, the Republicans would not back him up. So strange isn’t it. Republicans don’t like results, they like to continue the problems so they can blame the Democrats. The Immigration issue should have been resolved years ago, but Republicans said NO. Like they have for 3 and half years, NO Vote smart voters. We need a Democratics HOUSE to get work done for the people and nation.

  2. The Democrats don’t need anyone to blame them…. they deserve all the blame they get. The ObamaCare legislation which was passed in the dark and without any input by the opposing party since the Democrats were in control of both houses , the 2000 plus page law was not even read b y those who voted to accept it. This law also calls for $716 BILLION cuts to Medicare with the unconstitutional tax to force everyone to purchase health care if they want it or not. The ObamaCare allows special interest groups such as McDonald’s and AARP to exempt themselves from the provisions of ObamaCare. No one wants to address the provision of ” death panels ” made up of 15 unelected commissioners who will determine what and who will get health care. This has been evident in advisory councils that are in existence for years in the determination to refuse permission for building certain facilities such as dialysis centers or certain treatments for patients and basing their determination on whether certain criterian are
    met.
Since a Senator votes on laws which affect all Americans in matters little in which state the person is elected, all Americans are affected. Vote with care and think about how America has fared in the last four years. We need a new administration in Washington, D.C. to get America back on the right track.

  3. We do not need a democratic congress or a republican congress. We need to ignor the labels. We need people in there that will work to solve the problems. I agree that when Kyl, McCain and Flake were in there and Bush wanted to solve immigration and could have, he got NO support from them (including Flake). So why send him back? He flunked already. Flake is in bed with the private prison corporations and would rather have a porous border and catch and “swiftly punish” the illegal crossers to fill up those cells and then complain about the Dems not doing anything about it. Meanwhile, we pay for it in higher taxes, and everything that goes with it. Incarcerating illegals does not benefit us. It benefits CCA at appox. $180 per person per day plus we still get to pay for their medical expenses in addition to that. Flake is just taking care of Flake and his friends. Time for the fraud to go.
