While we didn’t get the racist stupidity that Superintendent John Huppenthal pseudonymously posted on Espresso Pundit…
However, we are now going to see the dark side of controlling immigration – fewer jobs for caucasions. In an improving economy, free flowing immigration creates more jobs for caucasions, not fewer. Economic growth is one part productivity growth and 2 parts population growth. Caucasians aren’t reproducing themselves, so all population growth has to be immigration.
We are condemning ourselves to a second rate future if we don’t reestablish the melting pot with a strong flow of immigrants engaging in economic activity, not crime.
We all need to stomp out balkanization. No spanish radio stations, no spanish billboards, no spanish tv stations, no spanish newspapers. This is America, speak English….
I don’t mind them selling Mexican food as long as the menus are mostly in English.
And, I’m not being humorous or racist. A lot is at stake here.
Or on the same site, a defense of Jared Loughner (wait, what?):
Jared Loughner’s act was logical once you understand what he was thinking. He just wasnt’ very good at articulating his thoughts but those thoughts and the intensity of which he partook of them gave him an incredible sense of superiority over us mere mortals. A nihilist, Loughner feels that we are all so many inconsequential flecks of dust and that his act had no meaning at all. Not much discussion of holding these philosophies accountable for this debacle.
…TucsonWeekly.com did get its share of comments from Falcon9, one of Huppenthal’s known online alter-egos. Feel free to look through them yourself, but it is fascinating to see an elected official going to such strange lengths to defend himself.
Also, it’s a little depressing to see the man in charge (for now?) of Arizona’s public schools basically admitting he doesn’t really have a plan to improve the schools most of our children attend. After all, all the ideas have been tried already, right?:
Public schools aren’t working at all for a good solid 30% of students. All of your ideas have been tried and failed. Huppenthal is doing what works in America – competition.
Seriously, what’s it going to take to get this guy to resign?
This article appears in Jun 19-25, 2014.

Hupp has done one thing I didn’t think was possible. He makes Horne’s tenure as the Superintendent of Public Instruction look good.
No. He needs to be voted out.
It really must be fun.
Why is this guy in the education system at all? His heart’s not in it. Go do something else, man.
Other than the fact that he has some stupid ideas……how did everybody know who he was if he was posting not under his real name. Many people don’t give their true names.
How did his real name become known??
Bob T. – http://www.azcentral.com/story/laurie-roberts/2014/06/19/john-huppenthal/10901575/
Sounds like someone looked at what IP address the posts he signed his real name were from and noticed they were the same as the anonymous ones for Falcon9 & Thucydides. And then Huppenthal came clean.
He is on a mission from God to destroy public education. He is a warped human being, shaped by a right-wing militant Catholic education. I would not be surprised to learn that he believes in the Jewish-Communist-Masonic conspiracy to dominate the world, or that he believes the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” are a real document.
“sounds like someone looked at what IP address the posts he signed…” So who can do that legally? Is that normal? Can they do that to anyone? Sounds like another Three Sonorans issue. If they do that to me I will be at their door.
I love that picture of Huppenthal. I used to have it as my screen saver.
Of course for the election you have divert everyone’s view from where the ball is. Thus expect attacks on the Tucson district ( in his every stump speech), and the ubiquitous boogie men, illegal immigrants. Somehow he never mentions support for more public money to private schools. Huppenthal can’t do anything without clicking his heels to Goldwater.
Bob T. – Huppenthal was not taken to court over anything, it was simply pointed out that the IP addresses of those messages were the same, and he ‘fessed up. Whoever owns a service like that is perfectly within their rights to monitor their server logs to see if something funny’s going on. The police have to get a subpoena for those logs in most cases, but I don’t know all of the legalities so there may be exceptions to that rule.
Anyone who hosts a message board (and anyone who receives a packet of data from your computer) can determine the IP address of the poster. By itself, the address proves nothing-your ISP may assign yours randomly and switch them out periodically, and even if it didn’t, there’s no indication of *who* was at the keyboard when they sent the message. Proxy servers exist that can hide the originating address, if it’s a concern.
This is no more sinister than noticing the phone number on your caller ID is the same, even if the person on the other end gives a different name each time.
Educated for at least 10 years in the parochial school system in the diocese of tucson. Not a bright man, but he gives credit to his “Hispanic” friends in grade school with helping him understand long division and learning to spell, he claimed, in a kxci radio station interview years ago. Obviously he didn’t learn homonyms…he thinks a jester and a gesture share the same meaning. Bright little boy he is.
