What’s cuter than Betty White clinging to baby lion cubs? That’s what we thought. Good try, though.

The 92-years young actress recently flew out to Tucson after getting a phone call from the Reid Park Zoo director Jason Jacobs. Jacobs became good friends with Betty during his time as the Development and Marketing Director at the Los Angeles Zoo. White couldn’t resist coming to Tucson after hearing about the Expedition Tanzania elephant exhibit and the four baby lion cubs. The 36-year-old zoo director says the last time Ms. White visited the Reid Park Zoo was in 1988.

Try not to “squee” too loud while adoring these pictures of Betty White at the Reid Park Zoo:

  1. Many thanks for the close-up of Betty White. I was in the Park when she was there. I hadn’t seen her since a plane ride into Florida in 1969. I worked for the old National Airlines, my wife and I were on the way to Miami and Betty boarded in DC to Jacksonville to see her Mom. She rode on the full flight sitting next to my wife and chattered all the way down to JAX. What a delight. A truly beautiful woman. 45 years ago and like yesterday. Thank you.

  2. Owhhhhhhh look. How wonderful. I love her! I also so want to cuddle a cub. That cat knows Betty loves it.
