I spent the hour or so yesterday when the sun was obscured by the moon trying to keep my kids from looking directly into the apparently astronomical spectacle, possibly blinding themselves forever, so I missed the action, but this YouTube video collected from photos by Cory Poole seems like an adequate substitute for the real thing.

Beautiful. Caution though. I ruined my right eye when I was very young and looked at the 1934 solar eclipse and burnt my right eye permanently!! Be careful…..
“Here’s What the Eclipse Looked Like” PERIOD. What in the world would possess a “journalist” to add “if that’s your thing” to a headline? Imagine “Troops pull out, if that’s your thing.” Or “Study reveals journalism skills are on the decline, if that’s your thing.”
While we were looking at the eclipse….some of us …….obongo was spending more tax money……
