Rep. Raúl Grijalva: Impeachment time is here!
Following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement that the U.S. House of Representatives would open an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, Congressman Raul Grijalva released a statement supporting the effort.

Grijalva’s words:

The President’s invitation for a foreign power to investigate a political rival and invite interference in our elections is against the law. Trump has consistently put his personal interests ahead of those of the American people, reiterated his belief of being above the law, and obstructed important Congressional oversight investigations into the corruption plaguing his administration.

As Members of Congress we have the power and the responsibility to take action and proceed toward impeachment. I hope my Republican colleagues recognize the gravity of this moment and understand that their ongoing silence makes them complicit in Trump’s disdain of the rule of law and our democracy.

  1. You could have stopped at “we have the power….And many wish they didn’t. A new poll just released shows Americans (75%) believe the Democrats will do nothing. We need to be sure that once they impeach him that Hillary is allowed to finish the term that she actually won.

  2. Left Overs, that would be poetic justice but that’s not the way things work. VP Pence is next in line & apparently he’s also involved in this scandal. So he also needs to be impeached. Then the next in line if Speaker of the House Pelosi. Now, as far as I know there’s nothing preventing Nancy Pelosi from stepping down from the Speakers spot and the Democratic majority voting to replace her with Hilary, (could be mistaken but there’s nothing that says the Speaker has to be a member of Congress), but that would never happen.

  3. Joe and Hunter Biden are also included in this scandal. Joe pressured the Ukrainian prosecutor that was suppose to investigate his son for the 600k per year Hunter was given.

    Maybe Joe can tell us why Obama was giving the Ukrainian government 400M per year.

    Many heads should roll. Don’t stop with Donald.

  5. Democratic leadership (pelosi) doesn’t want to impeach but democrats in congress and the base do. nancy will have to be dragged and scramming to impeachment.
