According to Phoenix New Times‘ Feathered Bastard, the rats are jumping ship at Rodney Glassman’s campaign for U.S. Senate. You can read more about it here.

But several confidential sources inform me that Glassman’s staffers left because they were not happy with the behavior of their candidate.

These sources relayed a litany of complaints about the Glassman campaign, from Glassman berating staffers and volunteers in public, even yelling at them, to Glassman’s having his brother Jeremy play a major role in the campaign (doing little or nothing, they say), and the fact that Glassman and his minions gave Democrats reason to believe he would sink millions into his bid for Senate.

  1. The Arizona Capital Times also had similar story that went even further, speculating that as of Wednesday, the entire operation is not going to exist. Too much smoke for there not to be a fire. I think Randy Parraz wins the nomination, he has the momentum and strong backing from Labor and Latino organizations. I was leaning toward Glassman, but there’s just too many negatives coming out about him.

  2. The wheels do appear to be coming off. Remember, however: Rodney likely has the early vote majority, and may well squeak through this. Unpleasant as it may be, this is really a contest to determine who will win a two-month opportunity to entertain Arizona’s progressive minority by taking shots at an unstoppable John McCain.

  3. Parraz will win on Tuesday. He had 3 huge rallies this weekend in Tucson, Phoenix and Nogales. He is DRAWING CROWDS at events!! People who have never been involved in elections have been inspired by Randy Parraz. He has the momentum and will shock the Democrat Establishment in this town Everyone see’s right through the GLASS Man.
