It appears that Arizonans Working Together, an independent expenditure committee, is readying another salvo against Republican Jesse Kelly in Congressional District 8.

A new FEC report notes the committee has spent more than $43,000 in recent days in printing and mailing costs. Our bet: It’s reinforcing stories about Don Kelly Construction’s government contracts and the funding of those jobs with earmark and stimulus dollars.

  1. The People Behind “Arizonans Working Together?” are Former Democratic Phoenix mayor, Paul Johnson and Kris Mayes (Arizona Corp. Commission), whose ringing endorsement for Giffords is posted on Gifford’s web page.
    These are not sent out by concerned Conservatives; it is put out by Democratic supporters worried about facing Jesse Kelly in the GeneralElection!
    Only the Leading GOP Candidate gets attacked like this by the Democrats. Enough Said. Please Vote for Jesse Kelly if You have Not Already Done So. Thank You.

  3. No one is worried about facing the college dropout Kelly. Giffords will easily beat him. It’s Paton the Democrats are worried about. It will be a shame if Republicans nominate yet another loser. Paton is the only person in Southern Arizona who can beat her, and he’s the most qualified, to boot.

Meyer of Scottsdale, Beth Salvosa of Virgina/D.C., Rachel Aja of Buckeye, and Kyle Moyer of Scottsdale. Moyer is a political consultant with his own firm in Scottsdale. He donated $500 to Paton on 3/1/10 and donated …to McCain and McCain’s PAC. Salvosa is a D.C. political attorney who may have donated to Hillary Clinton per OpenSecrets.org in 2006, Aja is part of a family from the AZ Cattle Assoc., and Meyer is a political consultant as well. Meyer, Aja, and Salvosa are listed on the FEC report as officers for Arizonans Working. No surprises, actually. Jonathan Paton is linked to Arizonans Working Together by Kyle Moyer.

  6. Jesse Kelly is the most laughable candidate to ever go into Arizona politics. If you honestly believe he can beat Giffords then you deserve the loss coming this November if he wins the primary, just as you deserved what you got back in ’06 with Giffords and Napolitano winning their elections.

It is sad that the only viable candidate to oppose Giffords is Brian Miller who suspended his campaign for lack of funds due to the fact the he did not cave to the RNCC and become a young gun like Kelly and Paton. They got the big bucks for their campaigns and thus became puppets of the national Republican leadership – MORE OF THE SAME. Brian is a principled man with SOLUTIONS, not just garbage sound bites. Either way, Paton or Kelly, Giffords goes back to Congress and the hard core, deep pockets Republicans get what they deserve. Sad part is that those of us that are Registered Independents have to live with the outcome, too.

  8. Here is some interesting information about Jesse Kelly’s education. Apparently you are not very “savy” The only Politican to go up against Harvard Grad, Obama was Gov Jan Brewer. She has the same education as Jesse, but no Combat Marine experience. Now Buz Mills, the successful businessman has the same education plus was a Marine.

    What about Tim Bee, didn’t you get? He had More Money, More Experience and a Better Personality than Jonathan Paton. Going to school with Gabby is “the kiss of death”. She knows all his weaknesses and strengths. She beat him twice, Once for the High School Presidency and again for the Arizona House in 2000. He didn’t come in 2nd or 3rd, but last. For her it like a “cat playing with a mouse” She the cat and he the mouse.

    Jesse Kelly is the only one who can beat her. I think she is afraid to debate him. The Democratic party sent Colin to film Jesse, like a Football Coach filming his opponent.

    What you forget is that the mood of the Country is ANTI-POLITICAN,. and Jonathan is a Politican. He voted WITH Gabby in 2005 on HB2782 and against Tim Bee and Russell Pearce. THINK ABOUT THAT, He voted with the DEMOCRAT, DOES THAT MAKE HIM A DEMOCRAT? The other problem Jonathan has is PAYDAY LOANS, where he was a lobbyist, while he was being paid by the Taxpayers and at the same time fleeceing those same Taxpayers. THAT IS PROBABLY jONATHAN’S BIGGEST POLITICAL ERROR. She will not let the public forget about that and what else does she have “down her sleeve”?
