Help keep the Tucson Folk Festival alive while listening to local musicians interpret the works of Bob Dylan on Sunday, Feb. 21 when the Tucson Kitchen Musicians Association hosts a Dylan-themed fundraiser. Serving up their favorite works spanning Dylan’s five-decade-plus career, fifteen Tucson acts will perform at the event including Wayback Machine, Nancy McCallion, Lost Hombres, Karima Walker and more. There is a $10 suggested donation to attend, which will go to help organize and run the 31st annual Tucson Folk Festival—a completely free event. The fundraising concert kicks off at 5 p.m. with father-son duo Gary and James Maki at Monterey Court (505 W. Miracle Mile). The only positive things Dylan ever did for music was introduce weed to The Beatles and somehow (?) inspire Jimi Hendrix. If Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seeger or Eric Clapton didn’t exist, he might be the most overrated musician of all time.
