For more than 30 years, the Rotary Club of Oro Valley and its Oro Valley Rotary Foundation have been supporting nonprofits in Oro Valley and greater Tucson communities. The Oro Valley Rotary Foundation (OVRF) is now a “Qualifying Charitable Organization” (QCO) in the State of Arizona (QCO Code 22955).
OVRF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves families, youth, seniors, veterans and first responders through its support of other local nonprofits, which provide services for homelessness, food scarcity, youth education, mental health and other critical needs that strengthen our community. Edge High School, Habitat for Humanity Tucson, Healing AZ Veterans, IMPACT of Southern AZ, Interfaith Community Services, More than a Bed, Rockin’ 4 Heroes and Springboard Home for Girls are just a few of the nonprofits in the community that the Rotary Club of Oro Valley supports with funds and hands-on service projects.
“Now donors to the Oro Valley Rotary Foundation can receive AZ tax credits for donations that help us provide services to Arizona residents who require assistance to meet immediate basic needs such as food, housing, education and mental health assistance,” said Rick Chimblo, OVRF treasurer.
Donors can write a check payable to the “OVRF” and file for a reduction in their Arizona income tax on AZ Tax form 321. OVRF donors can also make a deduction on their Federal Tax Forms, Schedule A “Gifts to Charity”. For more information on making donations to OVRF, go to orovalleyrotary.org.
