UA presents

STAFF PICK: There have been a lot of changes in the administration over at Centennial Hall in the past couple of years, but last season in particular really clicked for the folks in charge of the UA presents series. Nowhere else in town were season-ticket holders treated to such a wide aesthetic, geographical and cultural variety: Taking "Family" as a central theme, the Millennium Project series invited community members to participate in world-class performances via workshops, lectures and other post-performance activities. Centennial brightened our year with amazing performances by dance luminary Twyla Tharp, the mezmerizing Korean drum ensemble SamulNori, and Joshua Redman's "American Rhythms"concert; and a melange of others, everything from Peking acrobats to Broadway tributes. We can't wait to see what they think of next.
