Best Gracious Staff When You Close The Place At 1am

STAFF PICK: Many are the times when we've wandered into Presidio Grill, 3352 E. Speedway, well after 9 p.m., hoping for a quick beer and the chance to debrief some meeting, movie or life event. The problem is the staff is so darn kind to us we just can't leave, and before we know it, the place is emptied of all other customers but our party. Does the staff fix the evil eye on us and ignore our empty glasses in hopes we'll get the hint and go home? Not at Presidio. We're told to take our time and let the staff know if they can get anything more for us. They have to stay and close up anyway, they tell us, so a few friendly folks off in the corner sucking suds aren't going to bother them at all. Impeccable table service, genuine warmth and hospitality, Bass Ale on tap, warm bread and gentle forbearance: Is it any wonder we keep going back?
