4 WHEEL DRIVE CLINICS. Arizona State Parks hosts a series of clinics throughout the state as part of its campaign to raise awareness for responsible off-highway vehicle use. Clinics take place several Saturdays a month through February, 2003 including Tucson, Safford and Lake Havasu areas. The cost per clinic is $25. Preregistration is required at (480) 556-0999.

DESERT DISCOVERY. Tohono Chul Park. 7366 N. Paseo del Norte. 742-6455. Tour the park and find wild and domesticated plants plus share recipes, hands-on plant preparation and lunch on Saturday, November 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

KENTUCKY CAMP TRAIL WORK PARTY. Walk in from the gate for trail work on Sunday, November 17 at 9 a.m. Wear appropriate clothing, bring water and gloves. Call 299-9151 for details.

TOHONO CHUL PARK TOURS. Tohono Chul Park. 7366 N. Paseo del Norte. 742-6455. Walk in the Park tours, overviews of the park's 48 acres and its flora and fauna, are offered at 9 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and at 1 p.m. Sundays. Art in the Park tours, docent-guided looks at gallery exhibits, are at 9 a.m. Tuesday and Thursdays and 2 p.m. Saturdays. Birds of Tohono Chul provides opportunities to observe the many species frequenting the park, and meets at 8 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Grounds are open from 7 a.m. to sunset daily. Exhibit hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Greenhouse hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. SABINO SOUL STROLL. Sabino Canyon Visitors Center. Sabino Canyon Road. Find peace and silence at road's end without flashlights, cell phones or other technology in a 7.5 mile roundtrip twilight hike on the last Saturday of the month at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
