CASA CAR SHOW. Kino Veterans Memorial Sports Complex. 2500 E. Ajo Way. On Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the 23rd Annual Casa Car Show offers 800 speciality car displays, live entertainment, the International Food Festival, children's activities and car raffle. CINEMA LA PLACITA OCTOBER SCREENINGS. La Placita Village. Broadway Boulevard and Church Street. Whatever Happened to Baby Jane is the 1962 thriller and screens on Thursday, October 17. The 1931 classic, Frankenstein, screens on Thursday, October 24. Screenings start at 7:30 p.m. $3 is the suggested donation.

HEART-SHRINE TOUR. The Maitreya Project is a collection of Buddhist relics from around the world. GERMAN STUDIES FILM SERIES. UA Modern Languages Auditorium. Legend of Rita is a 1999 political thriller by Volker Schlondorff set in the final years of the Cold War and recounts the struggles of a young member of a West German terrorist group looslely based on the real Baader-Meinhof gang. It screens at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 24. Free.

TUCSON HERITAGE BUS TOUR. Arizona Historical Society. 949 E. Second St. 628-5775.
