KALEIDOSCOPE GALLERY. Unitarian Universalist Church of Northwest Tucson, 3601 W. Cromwell Dr. 579-7094. Potpourri by Milton Frank opens Friday, October 4, and continues through Wednesday, October 30. MURPHEY GALLERY. St. Phillips Church 4440 N. Campbell Ave. Features Marleen Holten's contemporary watercolors and Bill Baker's photography. An artist's reception takes place on Sunday, October 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. Exhibit continues through October 31. Gallery hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

RAICES TALLER 222 GALLERY. 222 E. Sixth St. 881-5335. Sex, Politics and Religion features work by members and guest artist Alfred Quiroz opening on Saturday, September 7 with a reception from 7 to 10 p.m. and continues through October 12. Gallery hours are 1 to 5 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays.

ALAMO GALLERY. 101 W. Sixth St. The 2002 exhibit season opens with a group show of paintings and scultpure by four Tucson artists: Matt Cotten, Sarah Kucerova, Gwyn Scally and Gavin Troy. An opening reception takes place on Saturday, October 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. Exhibit continues through November 2. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PHANTOM GALLERY. Congress St. Downtown. Tucson Arts District Partnership presents two exhibits viewed from the street: the old Thrifty Store at 38 E. Congress St. between Stone and Scott Aves. features Steven Derks' junkyard sculptrues and massive color-spattered oil paintings; at 222 E.
