CINEMA LA PLACITA. La Placita Village. Broadway Boulevard and Church Street. July's outdoor screenings begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and feature classic films: on July 11, Duck Soup, featuring the Marx Brothers; July 18, The Awful Truth stars Cary Grant and Irene Dunne; July 25, The Odd Couple features Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. $3 is the suggested donation.

Life as a House, starring Kevin Kline and Kristin Scott Thomas deals with a man dying of cancer who builds his dream house and gets to know his son on Friday, july 26 at 7 p.m. Discussion follows the free screening.

ROLLING THUNDER DOWNHOME DEMOCRACY TOUR. Tucson Convention Center. 260 S. Church Ave. The multi-city, grassroots community tour features Jim Hightower, Granny D, Barbara Ehrenriech, Lisa Otey, Ted Ramirez and much more on Saturday, July 27. Doors open at noon and close at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $5 in advance, $10 at the door, free for kids under 11.

WILDLIFE REHABILITATION. Bookman's on Grant. 1930 E. Grant Rd. 325-5767. Janet and Lewis Miller present an educational and fun program on Saturday, July 27 at 1 p.m.

TUCSON HERITAGE BUS TOUR. Arizona Historical Society. 949 E. Second St. 628-5775. Sites include "A" Mountain, the Convento site, Downtown Tucson, Barrio Viejo, "Snob Hollow," the Presidio, Rio Nuevo and more. Bus leaves from the AHS Museum on the first Saturday of each month through December 7. Tours last from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets cost $20 adults, $10 children.
