FALL FIESTA. Join Rancho Chuk-shon in a ceremony honoring plants and animals of the desert Saturday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy a day of food, dancing and entertainment with information on the development of Rio Nuevo. The festival takes place at the base of Sentinel Peak on Mission Road.

MOTORCYCLE MYSTERY FUN RUN. Pima County Rodeo Grounds. 4823 North Sixth Avenue. Join the Two Wheels for Christ Motorcycle Club in raising funds for the Hope of Glory Center starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 6. Enjoy a day filled with food, music, door prizes, bike games and prize drawings. Call 887-2120 for information.
MOTORCYCLE SHOW. Kickstart Grill. 8987 E. Tanque Verde Road. 760-3013. Owners present bikes for inspection and judging for trophy awards on the first Friday of each month. Cyclists who wish to enter the contest should do so between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Bikes are judged in one of eight categories: American Big Twin, Foreign Cruiser, Tourer, Sportster, Sportbike, Classic, American and Foreign. All entries are on exhibit at 7 p.m. There is also live music. Admission is free.
MYSTERIES IN HISTORY. Old Pueblo Grille. 60 N. Alvernon Way. 326-6000. The UA history department and Clues Unlimited present Winnie Ruth Judd: Did She or Didn't She? On Friday, October 5 the evening starts with a wine and cheese reception at Clues Unlimited at 6 p.m. and then continues with dinner and a lecture by W. Lane Rogers at 7 p.m. at the Old Pueblo Grille. Cost is $50 per person. Call 621-9359 for reservations.

SKY ISLAND FESTIVAL. The festival starts with the video program Jaguars of the Borderlands by Jack Childs on Thursday, October 4 at 8 p.m. at the Summit Hut, 605 E. Wetmore Road. Continue the celebration on Sunday, October 7 with a daylong series of free hikes and mini workshops on wilderness, road issues and cooperative conservation. TUCSON HERITAGE BUS TOUR. Arizona Historical Society. 949 E. Second St. 628-5775. The Arizona Historical Society's bus tours take place the first Saturday of each month through December 1. The narrated tours, which visit Sentinel Peak, the Convento site, downtown Tucson, Barrio Viejo, the Presidio, Rio Nuevo and more, begin and end in front of the Historical Society Museum.
