DANCE

JAZZ IN AZ. This dance concert features the UA Dance Ensemble, jazz-pop favorites and guest choreographer Mia Michaels Thursday, October 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Crowder Hall, in the UA music building south of the pedestrian underpass at Speedway Boulevard, east of Park Avenue. SALSA AND LATIN NIGHT. Orts Space. 121 E. Seventh St. 322-8020. Salsa barefoot? Why not? Salsa and Latin night at the Barefoot Ballroom takes place every Friday from 8 to 11 p.m. with a special mix of Cuban, South American and Afro-Cuban music. Costumes are encouraged and socks and ballet slippers are permitted. There is a salsa intro lesson from 8 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $5. Children under 14 are admitted for $1 when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
