COMMUNITY DRUMMING CIRCLE. Unitarian Universalist Church. 4831 E. 22nd St. 790-4933. Drummers of all ages and both sexes beat together on the third Friday of every month at 6 p.m. Weather permitting, the drumming circle takes place outdoors. Bring drums, rattles, bells, sticks or any other fascinating instrument. Admission is free and all are invited to enjoy this ancient form of relaxation.

Aspiring performing songwriters and musicians of all levels of ability are invited to showcase their acoustic musical talent each Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Performance times are 15 minutes per person. On the last Tuesday of each month musicians may compete for the top honor of the evening. The winning musician is invited to participate in the Bookman's Open Mic Roundup for a cash prize of $250.
