CHILDREN TO CHILDREN. 3922 N. Mountain Ave. Children to Children is a grief support center for children and families who have experienced the death of someone they love. It provides support services in a caring environment and currently has space available. It is also looking for volunteers to become support group facilitators. Call 322-9155 for information.
COMPUTER INSTRUCTION. Tucson-Pima Public Library (Columbus Branch). 4350 E. 22nd St. 791-4081. The library is offering an introduction to the Internet and library catalog for individuals by appointment only. The Columbus staff tailors the training to your needs. Call for an appointment.
CONSIDERING DIVORCE WORKSHOP. Tucson-Pima Public Library (Wilmot). 530 N. Wilmot Road. 791-4627. This free (for Pima County residents) program is for individuals who may be thinking about or in the initial stages of a separation or divorce proceeding. The program, which is held the third Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m., addresses paternity matters as well as the emotonal and legal aspects of divorce on families.
PARENTING SUPPORT. The Give A Parent Support group (G.A.P.S.) needs mentors to make home visits to first-time moms. Participants should be experienced, loving parents with the ability to donate one to two hours per week. Training and ongoing support for volunteers are provided. PARENTS WITHOUT PARTNERS. 2447 N. Los Altos Blvd. 622-8120. Parents Without Partners is an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to the entire single-parent family. It offers camp-outs, picnics, skating, meetings, potlucks, games, house parties, movies, hikes, volunteer and community service opportunities, and much more. Saturday night dances are held at 8 p.m. Admission is $4 for members and $5 for non-members. The dances take place at 2447 N. Los Altos. The next dance is July 14. Call 888-9263 for details.
