CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP. If you are caring for an elderly or disabled family member or friend, join a caregiver support group offered through the Pima Health System. Learn coping strategies, gain information about community resources and share experiences with others who understand. Professionally facilitated groups meet weekly for eight weeks. CLINICAL TRIAL SEEKS PATIENTS. A major Swiss pharmaceutical company is conducting a placebo-controlled research study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for functional dyspepsia (persistent or recurrent upper stomach problems). PREGNANT WOMEN NEEDED. The University of Arizona Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking pregnant women for a study of smoking and quitting during pregnancy. Voluteers for the study must be less than 28 weeks pregnant and recently have quit smoking or still smoke. Participants must be at least 18 years old, available for nine months and willing to participate in nine interviews. All information is kept confidential and participants are paid for their time. PROSTATITIS RESEARCH STUDY. Men with prostatitis, a condition caused by inflammation of the prostate, are needed for a research study of an antibiotic.
