ARIZONA REPERTORY THEATRE. Laboratory Theatre. University of Arizona. 621-1162. King Lear, Shakespeare's towering tragedy of pride, anger, love and forgiveness, runs April 1-22 at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $10 to $18. A pre-show discussion will be held April 19 at 6:45 p.m. in Directing Studio 116.

LIVE THEATRE WORKSHOP. 5317 E. Speedway Blvd. 327-4242. The Gin Game visits two residents of a nursing home as they play gin rummy and reminisce about their lives and the human experience. The play is a funny, bittersweet look at life's triumphs and defeats that reaches all ages with its truth and beauty. Performances run from March 30 through April 22. Tickets are $12.

OKLAHOMA! Canyon del Oro High School Fine Arts auditorium. 25 W. Calle Concordia. 696-5560. Performances of this all-student musical production run March 29-31 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $4 and $5. Children 5 and under are free. Call Teresa Irwin at 696-5615 for advance ticket sales.

PCC THEATRE ARTS. Center for the Arts Black Box Theatre. 2202 W. Anklam Road. 206-4528. Four different recollections of a crime raise questions about truth and falsehood in the Great Rashomon Murder Mystery. This tale of intrigue is based on a short story written in the 1920s by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. Performances run from April 4-8 and April 12-14. Tickets are $7 and $5.

ROBIN HOOD. The Gaslight Theatre. 7010 E. Broadway Blvd. 886-9428. The classic tale of Robin Hood, told Gaslight-style, features silly songs, comical melodrama and the usual antics of the Gaslight actors. Performances run from March 29 through June 2 at various times. Tickets range in price from $6 to $13.95. Dinner is also available in the theatre.

ARIZONA REPERTORY THEATRE. UA Marroney Theatre. 621-1162. Angels in America is a sweeping, epic story that focuses on eight main characters--from married couples to gay lovers--as they deal with sex, religion, drugs, politics, life and death. Performances run through April 1. Tickets range from $12 to $18 and are available through the UA fine arts box office.

BUCKAROOS ON BROADWAY. Hidden Valley Inn. 4825 N. Sabino Canyon Road. 299-4941. Hoot, holler and stomp your feet with the Crystal Palace Players as they salute Broadway's bronco-bustin' showstoppers in a spur-studded revue about western-themed musicals. Performances run through April 12 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $13.95 for adults and $8.95 for children 12 and younger. A separate, optional show menu features appetizers, entrees, desserts and a full bar, with entrée prices starting at $7.95.

FOSSE. Centennial Hall. University of Arizona. 621-3341. Sponsored by UApresents, this Tony Award-winning musical highlights the work of legendary dancer, choreographer and director Bob Fosse. His Broadway hits include Sweet Charity, Chicago and Dancin', and his major films are Cabaret and All That Jazz. Performances run through April 3. Tickets range from $34 to $50 and are available at the box office.

LIVE THEATRE WORKSHOP. 5317 E. Speedway Blvd. The company's Sunday Afternoon Children's Theatre Series presents The Firebird, a charming Russian folktale with magical creatures, a prince and princess. NEW KIVA MOTIONS PUPPET THEATRE. Red Barn Theatre. 948 N. Main Ave. 887-5144. The theater presents A Really Bug Show featuring Mother Natures' Fashion Show April 1 and 8 at 1:30 p.m. In addition, a performance of Punk and Judy, for adults only, takes place March 31 at 8 p.m. Punk and Judy includes a tale of the anarchist "Mr. Punk" and other stories exploring different forms of puppetry. Tickets are $3 per person, $5 for two children, and $2 per person with AHCCCS card or low-income bus pass.

PSYCHO BEACH PARTY. Temple of Music and Art. 330 S. Scott Ave. Charles Busch's Psycho Beach Party exposes the darker comic side of the 1960s beach party movies, spoofing such films as Gidget and Beach Blanket Bingo. Performances run through April 7 at 8 p.m., with 3 p.m. weekend matinees. Tickets are $5 and $6. Call 797-4792 for reservations.

THE RELUCTANT GUN FIGHTERS. Trail Dust Town. 6541 E. Tanque Verde Road. 296-4551. Enjoy the Dragoon Street Wild, Wild West stunt shows every night at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. with an additional 6 p.m. show Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are "pay what you want."

This rollicking farce tells the tale of an old man who tries to con his greedy friends into giving him their valuables in trade for being included in his will. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door and are available at the Bisbee Chamber of Commerce and Tombstone Pharmacy.

DON JUAN IN HELL. Bisbee Repertory Theatre. 94 Main St., Old Bisbee. (520) 432-3786. George Bernard Shaw's witty play is a spirited dream debate between Lucifer and the legendary Don Juan.
