BICAS. 44 W. Sixth St. In celebration of Bike Fest 2001, Bicycle Inter-Community Action and Salvage invites you to a free bike-building workshop March 31 from 1 to 5 p.m. BICAS offers the build-a-bike program for all. Take part in the eight-session course and fix up old bikes for the community. Classes are ongoing. Cost ranges from $15 to $60. Call 628-7950 for information.
CLUB KIDZ. Tucson Mall. 4500 N. Oracle Road. 293-7330. Club Kidz invites children and their parents to play at the mall the first and third Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. for a half-hour long learning series that is fun and educational.
KIDS FOR CLEAN AIR. Kids under 13 years of age are invited to join the cleanest club around. The Pima County Environmental Quality Clean Air program Kids for Clean Air Club includes activity books, stickers, information on keeping the air healthy, a membership card for discounts at participating sponsors and more. LIVE THEATRE WORKSHOP. 5317 E. Speedway Blvd. The company's Sunday Afternoon Children's Theatre Series presents The Firebird, a charming Russian folktale with magical creatures, a prince and a princess. The theater presents A Really Bug Show featuring Mother Natures' Fashion Show April 1 and 8 at 1:30 p.m. Performances take place every Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 per person, $5 for two children, and $2 per person with AHCCCS card or low-income bus pass.

Parents' Corner
CHILDREN TO CHILDREN. 3922 N. Mountain Ave. Children to Children is a grief support center for children and families who have experienced the death of someone they love. They provide support services in a caring environment and currently have space available in their groups. They are also looking for volunteers to become support group facilitators. FAMILY COUNSELING AGENCY. The agency and its Ways to Work program offer an opportunity to acquire low-interest loans for low-income, working parents. Loan money can be used for car purchases, repairs, housing costs, childcare and other essential purposes. For information, call the Family Counseling Agency at 327-4583.
PARENTING SUPPORT. The Give A Parent Support group (G.A.P.S.) needs mentors to make home visits to first-time moms. Participants should be experienced, loving parents with the ability to donate one to two hours per week. Training and ongoing support for volunteers are provided. PARENTS WITHOUT PARTNERS. Put on your poodle skirt and saddle shoes for a 50's/60's dance March 31 from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at 2447 N. Los Altos. Parents Without Partners, Inc., is an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to the entire single-parent family. It offers Saturday night dances, camp-outs, picnics, skating, meetings, potlucks, games, house parties, movies, hikes, volunteer and community service opportunities, and much more.
