Arizona's only juried biennial exhibition will be held at the Tucson Museum of Art June 8 through August 5. Arizona Biennial 2001 is open to all artists residing in Arizona, working in all media. The Shaman's Institute offers two weekly shamanic journeying circles that focus on exploring the personal spirit world, spiritual guides and the soul Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $5 to $10. In addition, an Art and the Shamanic Journey class takes place March 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enter into magical worlds using the shamanic journey and create a piece of art to represent your travels. The Science of Mind Center offers a series of art workshops the last Friday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Classes include watercolor collage, acrylics, acrylic collage, faux stonewall sculpture and scratch art. All levels of skill are welcome. The workshops, which cost $25, are limited to six participants. The March 30 workshop features watercolors and watercolor collage. UA campus, south of the pedestrian underpass at Speedway Boulevard and Park Avenue. 621-7968. A two-day workshop to learn and practice the historic bromoil process takes place March 31-April 1. Participants should bring at least one negative (8-by-10 or smaller) to print. Previous experience with silver gelatin printing is highly desirable. The City of Aurora, Colo. is constructing a 262,000-square-foot municipal center. The total budget for integrated art is $500,000 including $350,000 for the exterior mall area and $150,000 for the interior. The exterior funds are not likely to be split. The interior portion will be split into two or three projects. Both opportunities are open nationally to artists who have completed a project with a minimum budget of $50,000. The Laclede's Landing Foundation in St. Louis, Mo., will commission eleven public artworks in the next five to seven years. All projects have budgets in the $35,000 to $50,000 range.
