ARCHAEOLOGY AWARENESS MONTH. Dusenberry-River Center Library. 5605 E. River Road. Research archaeologist Henry Wallace presents The Archaeology of the Julian Wash Site March 13 at 7 p.m. Jeffrey Clark discusses The Past and Present Archaeology along the San Pedro River March 14 at 7 p.m. at the Wilmot Branch Library, 530 N. Wilmot Road. Admission is free.

BRAIN SCIENCE 101. DuVal Auditorium, University Medical Center. 1501 N. Campbell Ave. Learn about the latest brain research, how the brain works and treatments for neurological disorders March 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Speakers include John Nolte, who discusses Brain Overview and Imaging, and Naomi Rance, who presents The Biology of Mad Cow Disease. Mary Irish, former director of public horticulture at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, offers practical advice on desert plants and gardening practices March 10 at 2 p.m. Irish provides tips on planting, watering, pruning and propagation in addition to detailed information on a variety of plants. Her book Gardening in the Desert: A Guide to Plant Selection and Care is on sale at the event. Admission is $2 for members and $4 for non-members.

JUNGIAN ARCHETYPES. UA Museum of Art. Park Avenue and Speedway Boulevard. 621-7567. Steven Joseph delves into the deep mysteries of Jungian Archetypes in the Visual Arts and Robert Stackhouse's snake and ship imagery March 11 at 2 p.m.

LIVING HEALTHY WITH ARTHRITIS. DuVal Auditorium, University Medical Center. 1501 N. Campbell Ave. Learn the importance of self-care and the mind-body connection for pain control and healing March 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The seminar is open to individuals with arthritis and their family and friends. Cost of the seminar is $10 per person and includes lunch.

Campbell Ave. Patti Harada presents Stay Out of His Head and Out of His Bed March 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. Harada discusses how men and women can work together to create a solid spiritual relationship.
