DAUGHTERS OF AFRICA. PCC Center for the Arts Proscenium Theatre. 2202 W. Anklam Road. 882-7406. This music and dance-driven journey through the histories of African American women from slavery to the 21st century features music made famous by Lena Horne, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson and others March 9 at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and March 10 at 7:30 p.m. This production features the talents of Regina Williams and dancer/choreographer Barbea Williams. Tickets range from $8 to $13.
PARENTS WITHOUT PARTNERS DANCE. 2447 N. Los Altos. A Goodbye to Winter dance takes place March 10 from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. All are welcome--singles, couples, married couples, grandparents, etc. Snacks are served along with a variety of music from waltzes to two-steps to line dances. Move It Dance Company presents The Women's Initiative for Youth and Elders, a multicultural, intergenerational dance project that seeks to guide women through critical passages in their lives.
