FEAST OF THE ARTS. This evening of art includes a private guided tour of the Tucson Museum of Art's current exhibits, cocktails and dinner buffet by Carte Blanche Catering and Musical Landscapes, and a concert at the TCC Music Hall with conductor Stefan Klieme February 8 at 5:15 p.m. The Tucson Symphony Orchestra performs Respighi's Fountains of Rome, Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola and Schumann's Symphony No. 3 ("Rhenish"). Cost is $45 per person (all inclusive) or $25 for dinner and transportation only. Call the Tucson Symphony box office at 882-8585 for reservations.

The Chancel Choir and Friends of Christ Church United Methodist present a gospel concert featuring the works of Hall Johnson, Leon Roberts, Keith Hampton and others February 11 at 3 p.m. Admission is free, although donations are gratefully accepted. MARK RUSH, HONG MEI XIAO, STEFAN KLIEME, TUCSON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. Tucson Convention Center Music Hall. 260 S. Church Ave. 882-8585. Local soloists are featured in Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, and guest conductor Klieme leads the orchestra in Respighi's Fountains of Rome and Schumann's "Rhenish" Symphony February 8 and 9 at 8 p.m., and February 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets for the Thursday and Friday concerts range from $10.75 to $33; for Sunday, they're $6.75 to $21.

MARVIN HAMLISCH, TUCSON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. Tucson Convention Center Music Hall. 260 S. Church Ave. 882-8585. Pianist and pop-song composer Hamlisch, who got a Pulitzer for A Chorus Line, joins the orchestra for a pops concert February 10 at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $16.75 to $41.

SWEET SOUNDS OF SOUL. PCC Center for the Arts Proscenium Theatre. 2202 W. Anklam Road. 206-6986. Tony Award-winner Melba Moore brings her four-octave voice to Tucson February 8-10 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $5 to $25.

TUCSON BOYS CHORUS. Catalina Foothills Church. 2150 E. Orange Grove Road. 296-6277. The Tucson Boys Chorus performs February 11 at 3 p.m. The chorus performs traditional boys' choir music including works from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras. Tickets are $8 and are available at the Boys Chorus office and at the door.

V-DAY CELEBRATION. V-Day is a worldwide grassroots initiative that holds at its heart a world without violence against women and girls. Tucson joins cities from Buffalo to Bangladesh to Tel Aviv in this event. The Rialto Theatre and other venues host music, poetry, survivor testimonials, workshops and The Vagina Monologues February 10. Tickets are $12, $15 and $18. Other events include a workshop on embracing and empowering women at the Screening Room from 2 to 3:30 p.m. followed by a series of short independent films addressing violence against women. Proceeds benefit a local agency working toward an end to violence against women in our community. Call 743-8344 for more information.

BUDAPEST TOURS. The UA music advisory board is sponsoring a tour to Budapest March 20-26. Music lovers will visit the city and the surrounding Hungarian countryside and enjoy a variety of musical experiences including symphony concerts and an opera performance. An English-speaking guide will lead sightseeing tours of the buildings of Pest and the ancient heart of the historic town of Buda as well as visits to the Godollo Royal Retreat and the Danube bend and picturesque towns of Szentendre and Visegard. COMMUNITY CHORUS. Living Community Center. 330 E. Seventh St. The Food Conspiracy Community Chorus seeks members of the Food Conspiracy Co-op who like to sing. No auditions are required for this multigenerational group, ages 10 and older. The chorus will sing rounds, chants and short songs from many cultures, spiritual traditions and activist movements, all a cappella. Call 743-2444 for more information.

OPEN MIC ROUND-UP. Bookman's Used Books. 1930 E. Grant Road. 325-0241. Aspiring performing songwriters and musicians of all levels of ability are invited to showcase their acoustic musical talent each Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Performance times are 15 minutes per person. On the last Tuesday of each month musicians may compete for the top honor of the evening. The winning musician is invited to participate in the Bookman's Open Mic Roundup for a cash prize of $250.
