ENVIRONMENT
RECYCLING CENTERS. The following neighborhood drop-off centers are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily: 1010 E. 10th St., Booth-Fickett Magnet School, Jacobs Park, Joaquin Murrieta Park, Tucson Convention Center, NW corner of Cushing and Granada, Mansfield Park, McCormick Park, Morris K. Udall Park, Golf Links Sports Park, Rodeo Park, Kennedy Park, Randolph Park, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (base access required) and Los Reales Landfill. Hours at Los Reales are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. For directions and holiday hours, call 791-5085. There is a multi-material recycling facility located at Freidman Recycling, 1825 W. Price Road, near Roger and Romero roads, 696-0660. Call the ReThink-It line at 791-5000 for information.
TELEPHONE DIRECTORY RECYCLING. Time to update your rolodex and toss your old phone books. Use the red bins marked Phonebooks Only at these City of Tucson Solid Waste Management locations now through February 28: Morris Udall Park at Tanque Verde Road, east of Sabino Canyon Road; North of 22nd Street on the west side of Alvernon Way; Rodeo Park, south of Irvington Road on S. Nogales Highway and Joaquin Murrieta Park, east of Silverbell Road between Grant Road and Speedway Boulevard. Phonebooks can also be recycled through February 20 at a number of Safeway Stores.
