COMMUNITY CHORUS. Living Community Center. 330 E. Seventh St. The Food Conspiracy Community Chorus seeks members of the Food Conspiracy Co-op who like to sing. No auditions are required for this multigenerational group, ages 10 and older. The chorus will sing rounds, chants and short songs from many cultures, spiritual traditions and activist movements, all a cappella. Call 743-2444 for more information.
BUDAPEST TOURS. The UA music advisory board is sponsoring a tour to Budapest March 20-26. Music lovers will visit the city and the surrounding Hungarian countryside and enjoy a variety of musical experiences including symphony concerts and an opera performance. An English-speaking guide will lead sightseeing tours of the buildings of Pest and the ancient heart of the historic town of Buda as well as visits to the Godollo Royal Retreat and the Danube bend and picturesque towns of Szentendre and Visegard. On the last Tuesday of each month musicians may compete for the top honor of the evening. The winning musician is invited to participate in the Bookman's Open Mic Roundup for a cash prize of $250.
