There is an opening reception February 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. A special exhibition in the Members' Gallery features guest artist Chen Hongshu and Dinnerware member artists. East Meets West is a cross-cultural exhibition of Eastern and Western approaches to the same subject matter. A Chinese painting workshop conducted by Chen Hongshu takes place February 10 from 10 a.m. to noon. The workshop costs $20, including materials. Preregistration is required. Arizona's only juried biennial exhibition will be held at the Tucson Museum of Art June 8 through August 5. Arizona Biennial 2001 is open to all artists residing in Arizona, working in all media. The Greater Oro Valley Arts Council is accepting applications for its Art in Oro Valley contest. All works entered must depict a scene in Oro Valley and must be the original work of the artist.
