CHRISTMAS TREE-CYCLE. City of Tucson Solid Waste Management Department. Time to recycle that Christmas tree! Pack up the ornaments and take the tree to one of 16 tree-cycle locations open through January 15, seven days a week, daylight hours; no wreaths or other green waste, please. Sites include Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Los Reales Landfill, Rillito Park and Race Track, Marana Airport, Oro Valley Public Works Yard and the Catalina Refuse and Recycling Transfer Station. Call 791-3171 for additional sites and information. Canned food will also be collected for the Community Food Bank. The trees will be used as mulch to stabilize slopes and control weeds at the Los Reales Landfill.

RECYCLING CENTERS. The following neighborhood drop-off centers are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily: 1010 E. 10th St., Booth-Fickett Magnet School, Jacobs Park, Joaquin Murrieta Park, Tucson Convention Center, NW corner of Cushing and Granada, Mansfield Park, McCormick Park, Morris K. Udall Park, Golf Links Sports Park, Rodeo Park, Kennedy Park, Randolph Park, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (base access required) and Los Reales Landfill. Hours at Los Reales are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. For directions and holiday hours, call 791-5085.
