A MUSICAL TRIP TO THE ZOO. Tucson Symphony Center. 2175 N. Sixth Ave. Members of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra perform a program called Trip to the Zoo as part of the Just For Kids concert series. CUSTOMIZED GUITAR. Sticks and Strings. 8796 E. Broadway Blvd. 296-3479. Artist Rick Williamson's customized guitar, which is a tribute to blues and jazz musicians, is on display December 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The guitar, finished in shades of blue with silver and pearl highlights, features mother of pearl inlays.

Making It Up features a musical palette that ranges from subtle trio interaction to amplified noise-jazz, with local legends and underground heroes playing hour-long sets beginning at 7 p.m. December 2. The all-night session benefits the Bevel Education Fund.

The Arizona Percussion Ensembles perform their fall concert with guest soloist Holly Schurr featured in Lou Harrison's Concerto for Violin and Percussion Orchestra.
