Joe Labate uses camera-less ink jet images of common and unusual found objects, juxtaposed in theatrical arrangements directly on the digital scanner in the exhibit Directions. Contemporary glass works from the TMA collection, plus several pieces on loan from local artists and galleries, are also on display. Traditional Spinning, Dying and Weaving with Suzanne Barnes covers drop spindle use of natural dyes and card weaving on a loom students take home, December 2 and 3. The Greater Oro Valley Arts Council is accepting applications for the juried fine art exhibition and sale to be held in conjunction with the Oro Valley Art and Music Festival March 17 and 18, 2001.
