FARMACY GARDEN. 2450 S. Cottonwood Lane. The Farmacy Garden offers classes, workshops, teaching opportunities and internships in sustainable desert gardening. This nine-acre organic farm produces vegetables, medicinal and culinary herbs and flowers. The Farmacy Garden is a non-profit organization serving low-income singles and families lacking health insurance. Call 622-2241 for information.

Brighten the home with candles decorated with dried summer flowers November 18 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. There is a $12 registration fee and a $6 materials fee. HOLIDAY BASKET. Pima County Parks and Recreation Overton Fine Arts Center. 1830 W. Overton Road. Create a holiday basket centerpiece and learn tips on selecting materials, as well as the basics of color and form, November 18 from 3 to 5 p.m. Bring a hot glue gun if you own one. There is a $12 registration fee and a $12 materials fee. TUCSON BOTANICAL GARDENS. 2150 N. Alvernon Way. Introduction to Gardening classes focus on using drought-tolerant plants to colorful and low-maintenance effect, and meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. the first Thursday and third Saturday of the month. Cost is $6, and includes admission; it's $4 for garden members. Regular admission to the gardens is $4, $3 for seniors, $1 for children 6 to 11 and free for members and children under age 5. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Call 326-9686 for information.

TUCSON ORGANIC GARDENERS. St. Mark's Presbyterian Church Geneva Room. 3809 E. Third Street. The Annual Harvest Potluck, an open-forum dinner featuring gardening experts and a produce mini-market, takes place November 21 at 7:30 p.m. Dinner is free (bring a dish) and open to the public.
