ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION. 616 N. Country Club Road. The foundation hosts two six-week arthritis self-help courses to make living with arthritis easier, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays, through December 4. INDIGNATION: A TOOL FOR CHANGE. UMC DuVal Auditorium. This lecture is part of the Unresolvable Losses series given by Patti Harada of the UA's Psychology of Death and Loss and Love and Spirituality classes. The November 15, 7 to 9 p.m. lecture discusses how to eliminate obstacles that prevent people from healing their pain. Admission is $10 at the door.

LATINA MURALIST. UA Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering auditorium. Latina muralist Judith Baca speaks about her work November 15 at 7 p.m. Baca has extended and transformed the Mexican muralist tradition to meet the cultural needs of California's contemporary urban and farm-belt Latino communities. Polly Schaafsma presents Conflict and Cosmos: Pueblo Warfare and Iconography November 9 at 7:30 p.m. Schaafsma discusses warriors, shields, stars, and other symbolism related to warfare that are prominent in the rock art and kiva murals of the late prehistoric Pueblos.
