AUTUMN REPERTORY. Centennial Hall. University of Arizona. Ballet Arizona presents Serenade, a ballet by Balanchine set to Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, along with Company B--Songs Sung by the Andrews Sisters, and Prokofiev's Waltzes, October 21 at 8 p.m. and October 22 at 2 p.m. Tickets, which are $16, $28 and $38, can be purchased at the Ballet Arizona box office at 1-888-3ballet.

BALLET TUCSON. Pima Community College Proscenium Theatre. 2202 W. Anklam Road. Dance and Art is an inventive evening of dance and art featuring Steven Derks, Georgia Schwartz, Craig Clements and Pasqualina Azzarello in collaboration with Ballet Tucson Dancers. Performances are October 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. Call 623-3373 for more information.

JAZZ IN AZ. UA Crowder Hall, southeast corner of Speedway Boulevard and Park Avenue. The UA Dance Division presents its Jazz in AZ Open Concert October 19 at 7:30 p.m. The program includes the premiere of Purple Suspenders and a Yellow Tie, a high-spirited tap piece put to the stylistic swing music of Ingrid Lucia and the Flying Neutrinos. ZUZI! Zuzi! Little Theater. 738 N. Fifth Ave (in the YWCA). The ZUZI! Move It Dance Company presents The Women's Initiative for Youth and Elders, a multicultural, intergenerational dance project that seeks to guide women through critical passages in their lives. Classes are from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and continue through spring 2001. Applications for participants are now being accepted; no dance experience is necessary. For more information call 629-0237.
