FARMERS' MARKETS. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, vendors from "The Original Downtown Farmers Market" sell fresh breads, produce, salsa, tamales and local honey on the south lawn of the Main Library, 101 N. Stone Ave. From 2 to 6:30 p.m. Fridays, vendors sell fresh produce and baked goods at the Lew Sorenson Tanque Verde Center, 11100 E. Tanque Verde Road. Keaton's Courtyard hosts a market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays at 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd. From 7 a.m. to noon Sundays at St. Philip's Plaza (River Road and Campbell Avenue), more than 20 vendors hawk similar wares and treats including grass-fed beef and emu meat. Most Sundays, shop to live music beginning at 10:30 a.m.

HOST FAMILIES WANTED. The American International Youth Student Exchange program is looking for host families for 25 high-school students from France, Germany, Belgium and other foreign countries for the upcoming school year. VOLUNTEERS WANTED. Help build a future by joining Habitat for Humanity's Third Annual Women's Build beginning at 6 a.m. every Tuesday and Saturday through September. Learn about framing, plumbing and drywall while making a family's dream home. Female volunteers with all levels of experience are needed. Call 206-8000 for information. Habitat for Humanity is also looking for construction volunteers with expertise in carpentry, interior trim work and interior painting, as well as volunteers for office work. VOLUNTEERS WANTED. The Foundation for Animals at Risk is seeking adults and kids to help walk, feed and socialize animals during adoptathons at PetSmart and other sites. Foster homes are also needed for pets on weekends and every day during the summer. F.A.I.R. is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing animals on death row from the Pima Animal Control and placing them in permanent homes.
