LET FREEDOM SING. TCC Music Hall. 260 S. Church Ave. Celebrate Independence Day, freedom, and the American dream during the Let Freedom Sing concert at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 4. The performance features the Express Choir and Orchestra, Armen Dirtadian, Richard Clark, Richard France, and the Tucson Concert Band. MUSICIANS WANTED. Foothills Phil is a community intergenerational orchestra where musicians of all ages and abilities share a love of music. Sessions meet from 6:45 to 9 p.m. Thursdays in the Catalina Foothills High School band room, 4300 E. Sunrise Drive. There is a $30 registration fee. STRING PLAYERS WANTED. The Civic Orchestra of Tucson, a 60-piece volunteer symphony orchestra starting its 24th season, needs violin, viola, cello, and especially bass players.
