BICAS. 44 W. Sixth St. BICAS offers the build-a-bike program for all. Take part in the eight-session course and fix up old bikes for the community. Classes are ongoing. Cost ranges from $15 to $60. Call 628-7950 for information.

FAMILY BARBECUE. The Tucson Racquet and Fitness Club welcomes the public to join its members on Friday evenings for family barbecues all summer. Enjoy the Club's parklike grounds from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 4001 N. Country Club Road. Call 795-6960 for information.

FARMERS' MARKETS. Two Farmers' Markets take place on the weekend: From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, vendors sell fresh produce, teas, honey, jams, lemon curd and natural beef at Park Mall, 5870 E. Broadway Blvd.; and from 7 a.m. to noon Sundays, more than 20 vendors hawk similar wares and treats at St. Philip's Plaza, at River Road and Campbell Avenue.

FLANDRAU SCIENCE CENTER. UA campus. 621-STAR. The July shows are: In Search of New Worlds, Under Arizona Skies, Adventures in the Solar System, Our Place in Space and Light Years from Andromeda. Exhibit admission is $3, $2 for children 14 and under, or free with a theater ticket purchase. Telescope viewing is free. Daytime exhibit hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday; evening hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. MOVIE NIGHT. 3850 E. 44th St. 745-9175. Nimbus Tap Room hosts a movie night from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Wednesday nights. This Wednesday watch Thelma and Louise and Barton Fink.

SUMMER OF STORYTELLING. Ada Pierce McCormick Building. 1401 E. First St. Sheila Pattison leads Storytelling for Children at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 25. Admission is $5, free for members of Tellers of Tales.

SUMMER MARKET. Plaza Palomino. 2970 N. Swan Road. Shop for produce from Amber Valley Farms and several smaller vendors from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays through August.
