DESERT BLUEGRASS JAM. The Desert Bluegrass Association holds three jam sessions this week. The first is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at Nimbus Brewery, 3850 E. 44th St.; the second is at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 18, at the Texas T-Bone Restaurant, 8981 E. Tanque Verde Road; and the third is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at the Rincon Market, 2513 E. Sixth St. Play, sing along, or just listen. All are welcome.
STRING PLAYERS WANTED. The Civic Orchestra of Tucson, a 60-piece volunteer symphony orchestra starting its 24th season, needs violin, viola, cello, and especially bass players.
