JAZZ DANCE SHOWCASE. Crowder Hall, Music Building. UA Campus. The south end of the pedestrian underpass on Speedway Blvd., east of Park Ave. The UA School of Music and Dance present Jazz in AZ, a faculty dance concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 12. ARGENTINE TANGO. Dave and Shelli Little teach beginning Argentine Tango classes from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. Intermediate classes are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Monday classes are at the Tango Zone, 1517 W. Prince Road, Tuesday classes are at the Arizona Ballroom Company, 5536 E. Grant Road. Milonga is offered the first and third Fridays monthly from 8:30 to 11 p.m. at the Tango Zone. Cost is $5 per person. Call 749-0266 for information.

MILONGA. Suenos Tangos invites you to come dance Tango, Milonga, and Waltz from 7 to 10 p.m. the first Sunday of every month at the Heart 5, 61 E. Congress. The cost is $5. Call 622-5095 for information.

AFRICAN DANCE. Learn the movements of dance from Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria and Afro-Brazilian and Cuban regions with teacher Denise Hawthorne Bey. You'll also learn the intricacies of the music, and the traditional songs and their meanings. Classes meet at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Cost is $10 general, $8 for students, and $5 for kids 18 and under. ARGENTINE TANGO. Mara Carlson teaches Argentine tango, Milonga and Vals, for beginning to advanced students. Beginning classes meet 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays at the On Broadway Dance Studio, 7036 E. Broadway, and 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays in Room 4 of the Ina Gittings Building on the UA Mall, West of Campbell. Intermediate/Advanced classes meet Sundays 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 4 of the Gittings building. BALLROOM DANCING. Dance to live music from 8 to 11 p.m. Wednesdays at Let's Dance Club, 6245 E. Bellevue. Singles and couples of all skill levels are welcome. Experience a touch of sophistication and romance with theme-dress occasions and a large, decorated ballroom. CONTEMPORARY/BALLET DANCE. Orts Movement Warehouse. 121 E. Seventh St. Flor de Liz Alzate offers a class for students age 10 and up in both Ballet and Modern disciplines. Advanced classes and private instruction are also offered. Call 670-9162 for information.

JITTERBUG AND LINDY HOP SWING. Armory Park Senior Center. 220 S. Fifth Ave. L. Perez and Spider teach Jitterbug and Lindy Hop for all levels on Saturday, October 17. Classes are from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for beginners and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for intermediate/advanced dancers. Cost is $7 per person, $10 per guy/girl couple, per class. All ages welcome and no partner is required.

MODERN DANCE. The Movement Arts Warehouse. 121 E. Seventh St. Session II, a six-week session, meets from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, November 24 through December 9. WEST AFRICAN DANCE. Zenith Center. 330 E. Seventh St. Learn songs and dances of West Africa and the West African Diaspora from master dancer Donald Eno Washington. Mixed-level classes meet from 7:15 to
8:45 p.m. Tuesdays, and from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays.

WEST COAST SWING. Tucson Swing Dance Club. 6245 E. Bellevue St. 573-3732. Get in the swing of things at the Tucson Swing Dance Club every Thursday evening. Lessons are from 7 to 7:45 p.m. for beginners, and 7:45 to 8:30 p.m. for intermediate dancers. General dancing continues until 10:30 p.m. No partner necessary. Cost is $3, $2 for members.
