FALL READING SERIES. UA Modern Languages Building auditorium. The UA Poetry Center continues its 1997 Fall Reading Series with Brenda Hillman on Wednesday, October 29. Hillman's first book of poetry, White Dress, won both the 1985 Delmore Schwartz Memorial Award from New York University and the Norma Faber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America. She received an NEA fellowship and completed her second book, Fortress, which won a Silver Medal from the Commonwealth Club in 1989. All readings are free and begin at 8 p.m. Hillman will also read at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 30, at the Dinnerware Gallery, 135 E.
