ARIZONA AIDS QUILT. The One In Ten Repertory Theatre of Tucson hosts a series of workshops for the conception and creation of panels to be displayed during their production run of Remember My Name, by David Lemos. Panels gathered will be sent to the Names Project in San Francisco, where they will be joined to the National Quilt after opening night. READY TO ROLL. PCC West Campus. 2202 W. Anklam Road. The Greater Arizona Bicycling Association presents its Fall Bicycle Swap Meet from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 19. DOWNTOWN SATURDAY. Check out galleries, street performers and unique downtown Tucson sights all day and night Saturday, October 19. Stop in at The Screening Room, 127 E. Congress St., at 4 p.m. for a screening of Maria Candelaria. From 9 to 10:30 p.m. witness traditional song and dance at an Indian powwow, part of the Tucson Indian Days Celebration, at the Ronstadt Transit Center. From 7 to 10 p.m. the Battle of the Waila Bands rages at the Tucson Indian Center, 131 E. Broadway; and blues week continues from 7 to 10 p.m. with Johnny Faber and The Road Kings. Get a jump on the Halloween masquerade with artist Marilyn Draving from 7 to 10 p.m. on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Congress Street. WOMEN'S EXPO. Tucson Convention Center. 260 S. Church Ave. Join in celebrating the exceptional women of our community at the 11th annual Business Women's Expo from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 18. There will be networking possibilities, display tables from many of Tucson's women-owned/managed business, non-profit organizations, and a great raffle with prizes like a trip for two to Vancouver, Canada, four nights in San Carlos, Mexico, and more. HELP HUMANITY. Every Tucsonan needs a home to call his own. Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers to help make new homes for many families, and to end poverty housing in Tucson. HO-DOWN DINNER. Dust off your cowboy hat and join the Pimeria Alta Historical Society at 5 p.m. Sunday, October 20, for their quarterly dinner ho-down at the Rio Rico Resort. Doug Thamert, owner of Southwest Wagon & Wheel Works of Patagonia, will speak on The Human Side of Western Travel in the Southwest Via Horse, Mule and Ox-drawn Vehicles. Cost is $18. LESBIAN LOOKS VIDEO SERIES. Modern Languages Building auditorium. UA campus, on the north side of the mall east of Old Main. The Lesbian Looks Film and Video Series kicks off its 1996--1997 season at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 19, with London/San Francisco video artist Lucy Thane and a free screening of her new film, She's Real--Worse Than Queer, a panoramic portrait of riot grrrl/dyke/punk bands in Britain and the U.S. Thane will be joined by performance artist Sabrina Alonso. OUTOBERFEST. Get Out and support Tucson's annual gay pride festival, OUToberfest '96: Pride Without Borders, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 19, at Reid Park. There will be continuous entertainment throughout the day, including Chick Cashman, Jess Hawk Oakenstar, Kathleen Williamson with Rochelle Raya, IGP, Domineaux Device, Crosstown Transfer, Deeper Purple and The Best Drag In Arizona. There will be a crowning of Mister and Miss Gay Tucson, as well as special presentations by Desert Voices and the Reveille Gay Men's Chorus. YEE HAW! The Westward Look Resort. 245 E. Ina Road. Jump into those cowboy boots for Country Nite, Tucson Style, the Executive Women International's annual fundraiser on Saturday, October 19. Evening includes a western barbecue, dancing, prizes and a raffle for a trip for two to Nashville, complete with tickets to Opryland USA and the Grand Ole Opry.
