FALL READING SERIES. UA Modern Languages Auditorium. The Poetry Center at The University of Arizona begins its 1997 Fall Reading Series with Linda Hogan on Wednesday, October 8. Hogan is a Chickasaw poet, novelist and essayist. Her volumes of poetry include Seeing Through the Sun (winner of the 1985 Before Columbus American Book Award) and The Book of Medicines. She has published a collection of short fiction, a collection of essays, and two novels, Solar Storms and Pulitzer Prize finalist Mean Spirit. Her many awards and honors include a Lannan Foundation Award and fellowships from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation.
