BIKE BREAKAWAY. Register now for the 11th annual Breakaway To The Border bike tour Saturday, September 27. This one-day bicycling event, sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, is for cyclists of all ages and abilities. SLAM-N-JAM. Register now for the Sporting Chance Youth Basketball Slam-N-Jam 3-on-3 tournament, Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28. Listings WALKTOBERFEST. Get your friends, neighbors, and co-workers together for America's Walk for Diabetes, Walktoberfest, Sunday, October 5. Participants collect pledges from friends, families, and local business, then walk to help raise money to find a cure. Activities include exercise warm-ups, massages by the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts, lunch courtesy of Bruegger's Bagels, fresh fruit and water, prizes, and fun.
