DOWNTOWN SATURDAY. The downtown Arts District is the place to play all day and all night on September 6. The Arts District goes Latin throughout the month of September. El Centro Cultural gears up for the up-coming Tamal Fiesta with Mariachi Los Gallos and Ballet Folklorico dance groups performing Latin dances from various regions of Mexico, Spain, Cuba, and the U.S. from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Ronstadt Transit Center. Catch Tucson folk-sensation Annie Hawkins and her band from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in Arizona Alley, just south of Congress Street. Make your way to Winsett Park, 316 N. Fourth Ave., for the Arnold/Klingenfus Ensemble, performing a unique blend of folk, jazz, and rock from 7 to 10 p.m. For information on other events, stop by the booth on Sixth Avenue and Congress Street; or call the Arts District Partnership at 624-9977.

Listings MOON WALK. The Valley of the Moon. 2544 E. Allen Road, north of Prince Road, east of Tucson Boulevard. Step into fantasyland with the wizard's apprentice and meet the enchanting creatures of the Valley of the Moon on a Quest for the Golden Key to Happiness, Friday and Saturday, September 5 and 6. Fantasy tours leave the gate every 30 minutes from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Call 323-1331 for information.

SUN DRIVE. The Tucson Planning Council for the Homeless needs your donations of unused or new water bottles, sunscreen, summer hats and sunglasses to help Tucsonans on the street fight the heat. Drop off your donations at any of the following locations: The American Red Cross, 3915 E. Broadway; St. Francis de Sales Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco; The Salvation Army Hospitality House, 1021 N. 11th Ave; or The Salvation Army Amphi Corps, 218 E. Prince Road. Call 881-1794 for information.

WOMEN'S WELLNESS CAMP. The YMCA of Tucson invite women to unwind and re-charge at its annual Women's Wellness Camp, October 16 through 19. This weekend getaway at the Triangle Y Ranch Camp near Oracle, Arizona, offers women an opportunity to get away from the frantic pace of every day and enjoy swimming, horseback riding, massage, aqua fitness, stress management seminars, facials, journal writing, mountain biking, hiking; as few or as many activities as they wish. Discounts are available for YMCA members and non-members registering before September 15. Financial assistance is available through the YMCA Scholarship Program. Call 623-5200 for information. TW
