ALFARO THE POET. Los Angeles performance artist/poet Luis Alfaro performs at 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Tucson Center for the Performing Arts, 608 S. Sixth Ave. Alfaro is a highly acclaimed writer and performance artist who creates poetry, plays, short stories and performance. AUDITION NOTICE. Open auditions for the 43rd annual Gridiron Show are at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Imperial Garden, 4844 E. 22nd St. Sing, dance, act or whatever, it's fun and easy. No experience necessary. This is a rollicking, rambunctious, uncensored, nothing-is-sacred, side-splitting good time show.
