LATIN MUSIC CELEBRATION. The University of Arizona, in conjunction with the Latin American Area Center, presents a celebration of traditional and classical Latin American music March 30 through April 1. Guest composer Marlos Nobre of Brazil will lead a master class and lectures, culminating with a concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, in Crowder Hall. UNIVERSITY MUSIC. The University of Arizona keeps the beat with these upcoming concerts: The school of Music presents UA Jazz Combos at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Crowder Hall. This free concert will showcase award-winning student-musicians performing works by Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Charles Mingus and others. The UA Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, a.k.a. TubaCats, perform two free concerts at 8 p.m. Friday, and 3 p.m. Saturday, March 28 and 29, at Crowder Hall. They will perform a wide variety of tunes, from Afro-Cuban melodies to Bach. The Roy A. Johnson Memorial Organ Concert series continues with Jane Smith and Michael Crawley presenting William Albright's The King of Instruments, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1. This humorous piece showcases the various physical parts and unique sounds of the pipe organ. Tickets are $10, $8 and $5, available at the Fine Arts box office, 621-1162. LOVE OF MUSIC.
