INVISIBLE THEATRE. Temple of Music and Art Cabaret Theatre. 330 S. Scott Ave. Opening March 12 and continuing through March 16: The Going IT Alone solo performing arts series continues with Voice Lessons, with readings by award-winning Tucson writer Nancy Mairs. Performance includes excerpts from Voice Lessons: On Becoming a (Woman) Writer and Waist-High in the World: (Re)Constructing (Dis)Ability. Lunchtime performances are from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, Wednesday, March 13, and Friday, March 15. Performance/seminars are 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, and 8 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 15. Tickets are $6. Mairs gives a free workshop from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 16. Continuing on select dates through March 10: Richard III, Shakespeare's passionate tale following the intrigues of Richard, Duke of Gloucester, as he murders and plots his way to the crown. CALL FOR ENTRIES. Very Special Arts is accepting entries for the 1996 Young Playwrights Award. Students ages 12 to 18 years are invited to submit scripts incorporating some aspect of a disability. An awards ceremony will accompany the opening night of the winning plays at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
