BROWN BAG CONCERTS. The Tucson Arts District, with the Tucson Jazz Society, presents The Blue Monks in concert from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Main Library Plaza, 101 N. Stone Ave. Bring your lunch and enjoy!

CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL. TCC Leo Rich Theatre. 260 S. Church Ave. The Arizona Friends of Chamber Music present the annual Chamber Music Festival. The festival kicks off with a 3 p.m. performance Sunday, March 9, featuring works by Kodály, Brahms, and Schubert. The festival continues with an 8 p.m. performance Wednesday, March 12, featuring works by Schumann, Bartók, Beethoven and Dohnanyi. On Friday, March 14, the 8 p.m. performance features works by Brahms, Mozart, Bartók, and Harbison. The festival concludes with a 3 p.m. concert Sunday, March 16. All concerts are preceded by a concert talk with musicologist John Finch one half-hour prior to show time. The public is invited to attend open rehearsals from 9 a.m. to noon on March 9, 12, 14 and 16. Tickets for all concerts are $15. Call 298-5806 for tickets and information.

CLASSICAL GUITAR. Holsclaw Recital Hall. UA campus on the southeast corner of Speedway and Park Avenue. The UA School of Music presents classical guitarist Philip Hemmo in concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9. Campbell Ave. The Arizona Early Music Society presents Elizabeth Blumenstock, violin, and Elaine Thornburg, harpsichord, at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9. JAZZ WEEK. UA Crowder Hall, southeast corner of Speedway and Park Avenue. The UA School of Music presents the 19th annual AZ Jazz Week, March 9 through March 14. The festival begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9, with Quite a Day o' Dixie, featuring Olive Street Stompers, Jazzberry Jam, and Borderline Six Dixieland Jazzband, from Nogales High School. Tickets are $5, $3 students/seniors/employees/TJS members. The music continues with a free concert at 8 p.m., featuring Jazzwerks, all-county High School honor jazz ensemble. On Monday, March 10, the UA Faculty Jazz Quintet and Guests perform at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10, $8 UA employees, $5 students/seniors/TJS members. On Tuesday, March 11, guest artist James Mair presents a free lecture entitled Yes, You Can Make A Living As A Performer at 1 p.m. At 8 p.m., the UA Jazz Choraliers and the UA Vocal Jazz Sextet present Half Dozen of the Other. Tickets are $6, $5 UA employees, $3 students/seniors/TJS members. On Wednesday, March 12, SAX-Mania Jazz Saxophone Quartet performs with the UA Studio Jazz Ensemble, and guest James Mair at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6, $5 UA employees, $3 students/seniors/TJS members. On Thursday, March 13, the UA Studio Jazz Ensemble performs with guest James Mair at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6, $5 UA employees, $3 students/seniors/TJS members. Jazz week wraps up with a free piano concert with Mike Eckroth performing at noon on Friday, March 14. Tickets for all performances can be purchased at the Fine Arts box office. PERCUSSIVE ARTS FESTIVAL. UA Crowder Hall, southeast corner of Speedway and Park Avenue. The UA School of Music presents the Arizona Percussive Arts Society Spring Festival on Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8. The festival opens with a concert at 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, and concludes with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8. SOUTHERN ARIZONA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. Palo Verde High School, 22nd Street just west of Kolb Road. The Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra presents Haydn's The Creation, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12. Performance will feature choirs from Palo Verde and Sahuaro High Schools. TUCSON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. TCC Music Hall. 260 S. Church Ave. TSO presents Stefan Polgar, cello, performing works by Haydn, Schubert, and Grieg. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8, 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9. Tickets range from $13 to $28.
