Listings ARIZONA THEATER COMPANY. The Temple of Music and Art. 330 S. Scott Ave. The Arizona Theatre Company presents the Tony award-winning play The Heiress, based on the Henry James novel Washington Square. Production opens at 8 p.m. Saturday, January 10, and continues through January 31. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with matinees at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Special performances for the visually impaired are offered at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 18, and at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21. Tickets range from $18.50 to $27.50, available at the ATC Box Office and all Dillard's outlets. BORDERLANDS THEATER. Tucson Center for the Performing Arts. 408 S. Sixth Ave. Borderlands Theater, in association with Periaktos Productions, presents A Couple of Blaguards at 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, January 14 to January 25. This nationally acclaimed two-actor play brings to life 47 characters from Ireland and America. Performances are also at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Sundays. MURDER AT THE VICARAGE. Live Theatre Workshop. 5317 E. Speedway. Opening January 9 and continuing through January 25, Live Theatre Workshop presents Agatha Christie's Murder at the Vicarage. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8.50, $7.50 for seniors. Call 327-4242 for tickets and information.

OLD PUEBLO PLAYWRIGHTS. Tucson Center for the Performing Arts. 408 S. Sixth Ave. The Old Pueblo Playwrights 1998 New Play Festival features staged readings of eight new plays by six Tucson authors. Festival hours are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, January 8 to January 11, with matinees at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. From ghosts and goblins to sexual awakenings, this annual festival offers something for everyone. Tickets are $5, with discounted festival passes available at the door. INVISIBLE THEATER. Berger Performing Arts Center. 1200 W. Speedway. The Invisible Theatre presents the dynamic sister team of Ann Hampton Callaway and Liz Callaway in the cabaret performance Sibling Revelry, at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10, with an additional 2 o'clock Saturday matinee. AUDITION NOTICE. The Tenth Annual Arizona Renaissance Festival, a Renaissance theme entertainment park, is seeking musicians, variety artists, street and stage performers, royal court and village peasantry, jesters, jugglers and character actors for its 1998 festival beginning February 7 and continuing weekends through March 29 at the Apache Junction fairgrounds. Auditions are from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 10, at Chivalry Sports, 7718 E. Wrightstown Road. No prepared material is necessary. Call 463-2600 to register.

AUDITION NOTICE. Arizona Youth Theater is holding open auditions for Sherlock Holmes from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, January 12 and 13, at 5671 E. Speedway. There is a $1 audition fee. Men, women and children ages 4 to adult are needed, and should call 546-9805 for an appointment.

Throughout the month of January, The 20th annual Simon Peter Passion Play of Tucson will hold auditions for the 1998 cast of this three-hour musical/drama based on the life of Christ. Performances are scheduled for Easter at the TCC Music Hall. Men, women and children of all ages are needed (especially men), and no experience is necessary.
